Depending on how you would like your web site to function will ultimately decide the types of services I will be able to offer you. I have been working on web sites since early 1994 and I am proficient with HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, Cascading Style Sheets, SQL and ColdFusion database programming. Below is the step-by-step process which I will guide you through until the project is complete.
Introduction
I would first like to meet with you in person if possible, not only to introduce myself to you face-to-face, but also to become familiar with your business or whatever the nature of your needs for a web site. I encourage you to bring any documents and images you have relating to what you would like to be on the web site. We will discuss what type of web site you would like to have, whether it be basic HTML or a database driven site with a backend for easy updates. Finally, we will discuss financial information and what is involved in setting up and maintaining the site.
Plan
Assuming you have decided to have me create your web site, I would like to get in contact with you and exchange any other documents or media that will be displayed on the site. We will discuss color themes for your site and how you want your information to be displayed. When all the information is gathered I will begin work on designing the site.
Design
During the design process, I would like to stay in close contact to make sure you are happy with the progress of the site. I can send you updates on the development of the site and provide you with links to preview the site before it goes “live”.
Follow-Up
Upon completion of the project, if you have decided for a database backend, I am able to provide manuals for updating anything on the site you wish and also can provide training to you or an employee for maintenance of the site. If you opt for a basic HTML site, I would like to go through the web site with you and make sure you are completely satisfied with the project.
